Provide wide-ranging support to in-house attorneys engaged in global insurance industry. Work is focused primarily on regulatory, corporate, and transactional matters, excluding litigation.
Perform internet based factual and legal research. Assist with research projects. Track new laws and regulations impacting the property and casualty insurance industry. Monitor incoming NDAs and analyze for compliance with company requirements.
Support in maintaining, drafting and organizing documents in electronic filing system.
Interface with many internal groups (e.g., Underwriting, Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury) and serve as liaison between legal department and the rest of the company.
Assist with regulatory filings, including holding company filings.
Education
Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies.
Work Experience/Skill Set
At least 2-4 years of In-house paralegal experience, or other relevant experience
Familiarity with corporate entity formation, maintenance and governance. Superior grammar, writing, organization and communication skills. Strong attention to detail is essential.
Seeking an independent, highly motivated, self-sufficient individual that can thrive in a collaborative working environment with minimal oversight. Positive attitude and willingness to learn are necessary.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. SharePoint experience preferred.
Notary public a plus
