Independently administers, implements, and maintains Information Management (IM) systems, including database, data migration, scheduling, and analytical applications. Administers application access, maintains security, and ensures compliant processes. Applies a general understanding of the source systems, and leverages general knowledge of data warehouse, business intelligence, and big data technologies, as well as processes, to execute responsibilities.
Principle Duties:
Monitors and supports enterprise job schedule, assist support teams to troubleshoot production issues, and participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
Installs, configures, troubleshoots, documents, and maintains IM systems, including data warehouse, business intelligence, and big data applications and architectures
Monitors servers and databases, and ensure optimal performance Works with business and IT stakeholders to optimize information by designing and administering reliable, secure, and compliant IM systems and processes
Creates application and process documentation, schematics, and layouts Recommends improvements and applies standards, processes, and procedures for IM systems Seeks continuous IM System performance improvement and ensures security of information
Creates and implements effective metrics and monitoring processes
May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Acts as a resource and impacts the quality of work for colleagues with less experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent education/ experience Required
Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Preferred
Work Experience:
4+ Years (or relevant) experience administering enterprise scheduling, ETL/ELT, analytical, and/ or big data applications Required
Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies Required
Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information Required
Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to build consensus Required
Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in straightforward manner Required
Regular and predictable attendance Required Tidal Enterprise Scheduler, Informatica PowerCenter or other ETL solution, Talend, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, Oracle, SQL Server, Vertica, Windows, Linux/Unix Required
Hadoop, Impala, PL/SQL, Java, Perl Preferred Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge Preferred

Compensation Range:
$87,050.00 - $131,450.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
