Who are we hiring?

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator I is responsible for utilizing best practices to identify, analyze and support the response to incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to business, the brand, employees, and guests. The SOC Operator I will assist in maintaining the security posture of the organization by monitoring and responding to alerts, assisting with basic investigations, escalating issues as necessary, utilize the access control system, provide general assistance to both employees and guests, and assisting with Event Operations under the guidance of senior team members. The SOC supports the MSG family of venues and offices as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents.

What will you do?

• The SOC Operator I is responsible for answering routine calls, monitoring numerous forms of communications, and providing general assistance to employees, vendors and guests.
• The SOC Operator I monitors alarms, video equipment, door alarms, duress alarms and facial recognition alerts and responds appropriately.
• The SOC Operator I will respond to and dispatch for life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.), dispatches security officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire and EMS personnel as required via telephone, radio and/or software systems provided by MSG.
• The SOC Operator I maintains various records of communications and events in established storage locations.
• The SOC Operator I communicates and disseminates information, using established communication vehicles.
• The SOC Operator I evaluates incidents that may impact employees, venues, or offices and escalate accordingly to SOC Operator II or III or Security Management.
• The SOC Operator I will participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance their SOC knowledge, skills, and abilities.

What do you need to succeed?

• Able to manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company’s confidentiality and information security practices (personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, emergency personnel contact information, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of security systems to include, but not limited to CCTV, Physical Access Control, and various Security Software Platforms utilized by the organization.
• Must possess strong computer skills with familiarity with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify causes, and implement results-oriented solutions.
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of security experience, within a SOC is preferred.

Special Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of days, nights, weekends and holidays.
