Role Overview

The Trade Compliance ERP Core Team Member EU SCM / GTS is responsible for leading the design, implementation, testing, and enablement of SAP GTS solutions across EU operations. This role acts as the functional and delivery lead for GTS, ensuring compliant, scalable, and well‑integrated trade compliance processes. The position has hands‑on leadership responsibility for middleware implementation and acts as the bridge between business compliance needs and system capabilities, ensuring scalable, compliant, and user-friendly solutions.

Locations: Poland, Hungary, Italy, Germany (near a Xylem location, hybrid working model)

Key Responsibilities

Trade Compliance ERP Process & System Enablement, SAP GTS

  • Support the design and rollout of systems enabling trade compliance processes in SAP GTS
  • Ensure alignment with EU regulations in areas such as customs, export controls, sanctions, and preferential trade
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical, business-oriented processes and controls
  • Partner with compliance, operations, and legal teams to ensure consistent execution
  • Ensure business requirements are effectively translated into system solutions
  • Collaborate with IT and external partners to implement and improve compliance-related tools
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of system roadmaps in line with regulatory and business changes

Testing & Implementation Support

  • Lead or coordinate business involvement in system testing (e.g., UAT, integration testing)
  • Ensure compliance scenarios are properly reflected in system testing
  • Support system rollouts across European entities

Training & Change Management

  • Drive adoption of ERP Trade Compliance processes and systems across the organization
  • Develop and deliver training materials and end-user guidance
  • Support change management initiatives and process documentation

Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key contact between business, compliance functions, and IT
  • Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and process transparency
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders across functions and countries

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with SAP GTS or similar ERP Trade Compliance Systems
  • Experience in a Trade Compliance / Customs / Global Trade role
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational processes
  • Strong stakeholder management across business and IT
  • Experience working in international / European environments

Nice-to-have (Supporting Skills)

  • Involvement in system implementations or process transformations
  • Exposure to testing activities (e.g., UAT) in system projects
  • Understanding of ERP environments (e.g., SAP S/4HANA)
