Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Project Controls Coordinator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the successful execution of our telecommunications projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in tracking project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, forecasts, and variances
  • Meet with various stakeholders to update progress and development with special attention to maintenance of project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software
  • Update and maintain project schedules to reflect actual progress and changes
  • Ensure the timely and accurate recording of project/program progress and provide the information required to facilitate timely and accurate invoicing
  • Utilize reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI) to generate key performance metrics: Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Schedule Variance (SV), and other performance metrics commonly used for the monitoring and status of projects/programs
  • Update and maintain the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) using standard Estimate-to-Complete (ETC) methodology
  • Monitors and coordinates with Operations, Commercial, and Finance to manage changes to the baseline quantities, scope, cost, revenue, and schedule

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key project performance metrics, including Cost Performance Index (CPI), Cost Variance, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Schedule Variance, and Earned Value
  • Proven ability to accurately update and maintain Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) figures utilizing standard Estimate-to-Complete methodologies
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic Primavera P6 skills e.g. updating.
  • Preferred: Experience with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)

Working Conditions:

  •  This role provides a flexible working environment, balancing your responsibilities between the comfort of your home office and the collaborative environment of our office spaces 
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
