Summary of Job Duties:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for consulting with leaders across the organization to deliver and implement the Department of People and Culture’s priorities to achieve business unit objectives, while ensuring a high degree of consistency throughout the health system. The Human Resources Business Partner maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and its competition. The HRBP will help align the goals for the employees and leaders of the divisions with the business objectives including labor, costs, talent development, employee satisfaction, employee relations as well as advice on all other employee related matters. The HRBP acts as an extension of each division they support, offering expertise in a day-to-day collaboration.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Applied Communication, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field of study
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated accomplishment in human resource or operational disciplines, preferably including compensation practices, workforce planning, forecasting & budgeting, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, operational efficiency, performance management, employee engagement, and respective federal and state employment laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and three (3) years of demonstrated accomplishment in the above disciplines
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience in an Academic Medical Center setting

  • The Human Resources Business Partner requires a comprehensive knowledge in the concepts, practices, and procedures of the functional HR areas and driving various HR initiatives.

Problem Solving:

  • The Human Resources Business Partner must be able to solve complex problems in the areas of employee relations, mediation, and provide coaching. Human Resources Business Partner must also be able to analyze data and develop insights.

Independence of Action:

  • Direction: Results are defined, and existing practices are used as guidelines to determine specific work methods. Conducts work activities independently; supervisor/manager is available to resolve problems.
