Purpose statement:

As a Production Supervisor, you will be an integral part of our team, leading and inspiring a diverse group of employees who are building our worldclass products.

Reporting line:

This role reports to:

• Liam O’Donnell, Senior Operations Manager. I have worked with Abbott for over 5 years across several functions and product families. I find the work very rewarding knowing that we produce products that save lives every day. I’m looking for someone to join our team who will be willing to learn and develop personally and coach your team and peers. I encourage my team to take ownership and understand the business through a transparent and inclusive team dynamic.
• Eimear Morrissey, Operations Manager. I have worked for Abbott for over 15 years. I have had the pleasure of being able to build my career through the opportunities and guidance that are always available within Abbott while always valuing the fact we are making life-saving medical devices daily. I am a hands-on Manager who is always there to support my team, encouraging development and positive challenge amongst your peers. I’m looking for someone who will bring energy and a passion to learn while being willing to challenge the status quo with a passion for continuous improvement.

As a Production Supervisor, your key responsibilities will be as follows:

1.    Implement a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements and co-ordinating the with Operations Management and Planning Schedulers
2.    Monitor daily work operations and provide support to team members 
3.    Develop your team through training and assigning progressively more challenging tasks 
4.    Develop feasibility and execute continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency or remove waste from the process.
5.    Interact with key stakeholders: Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, Supply Chain, EHS, Operations Management, Finance & Operations Excellence.
6.    Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures 
7.    Develop work schedule for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources

Education and Skills:

• Level 7 qualification and related work experience. We would be keen to speak with you if you have prior people management experience
