Job Summary: The Agile Program and Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing infrastructure-related projects using Agile methodologies, Kanban, Planview and Scrum. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, tracking activities, managing issues and risks, and providing timely updates to leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, execute, and finalize infrastructure projects using Agile methodologies and Scrum.
• primarily responsible for leading a team through agile development "sprints" - short, time-boxed iterations of work - by facilitating Scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring the team stays focused on delivering project goals within each sprint, while also managing project risks, timelines, and communication with stakeholders.
• Supporting the product owner, and removing obstacles that delay progress
• Actively manage the Kanban board, updating task statuses, visualizing workflow, and ensuring team members understand the board's functionality.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Track project activities, issues, and risks, and provide timely updates to leadership.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Agile methodologies, Kanban, Planview and Scrum.
• Proven experience in managing infrastructure-related projects.
• Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Azure DevOps Board, JIRA.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies, including networking, servers, storage, and cloud computing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
