Job Description:

The Senior Manager of Carrier Relations and Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Carrier Customer Success, Carrier Relations, and Carrier Sales Support Teams. This position will be an integral component to providing a high-level customer experience for our Carrier and Wholesale customer base and ensuring that the operational needs of our sales teams and customers are managed in an efficient manner. Additionally, this role will have responsibilities for supporting both pre- and post-sales activities, developing and reporting on KPIs, as well as develop and supervise off-net pricing strategies and negotiations, ensuring optimal performance, growth, and profitability.

  • Lead and manage the Customer Success, Carrier Relations, and Carrier Sales Support Teams to achieve company objectives and deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee the service delivery processes, ensuring timely and efficient execution to meet customer expectations and service level agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners to optimize access management and enhance service offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, finance, and operations teams, to align strategies and drive cohesive business operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate carrier performance to meet company standards.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports to support business decisions.
  • Drive customer success initiatives to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess and improve performance.
  • Provide support for Request for Proposals (RFPs) to secure new business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective off-net pricing strategies and negotiate favorable terms with carriers to support business growth and profitability.
  • Manage off-net billing verification to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all carrier relations and sales operations activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven track record in managing carrier relationships and sales operations.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
