The Markets Funding desk team analyze and improve the funding and liquidity arrangements across all the product lines in Markets. The desk works with stakeholders across Markets and Corporate Treasury to design and implement transparent processes to allocate any marginal costs/benefits to the appropriate business segments and incentivize optimum business practices. As part of this, the team also works in very close partnership with Corporate Treasury and Markets to analyze and optimize the firm’s liquidity risk management activities. The desk’s objectives are to increase profitability, returns, risk management and support client transactions across all of Markets.

The Markets Funding Structurer role will support the unique activities of this desk, in close co-operation with all other Markets teams as well as Corporate Treasury, Product Control, FP&A and Operations. A good understanding of Citi Processes, systems, and end-to-end flows is important in this role given the heavy interaction and involvement with a variety of businesses and processes across Citi globally.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building tactical tools for PnL, Balance Sheet and Funding analysis for the Markets Funding desk
  • Perform data analysis across a wide and varied set of internal data covering PnL, Balance Sheet and Structured Notes
  • Drive technology change with IT partners for long term systemic changes
  • Help drive workflow changes across the desk to enable clear data visibility and ease of decision making
  • Project Management: Management of a range of projects, working with a number of internal stakeholders across Sales, Trading, Operations, Technology, Treasury, Product Control and Business Management    


Qualifications required:

  • 6-10 years structuring experience
  • Very strong analytical and technology skills, to degree level in a related discipline
  • Detailed knowledge of securities markets/trading, derivatives and funding
  • Familiarity with large scale data and querying ability is essential
  • Strong python/VBA/database/excel experience essential
  • Strong communication & organization skills
  • Must be highly motivated independent thinker and able to work independently as required
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic team environment.
  • Effective partnership and collaboration is key for success in this role.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions and work with ease with both business and technology partners.

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.

This role can offer a Hybrid working arrangement, however Hybrid status depends on several regulatory factors.
