The Finance Project Manager will manage the project lifecycle for key projects including planning, execution, stakeholder management, status reporting, and ensuring deliverables achieve expected business outcomes. The position will work closely with teams throughout PayPal Finance, Technology, Product and others to successfully manage the execution of projects and initiatives.
Independently manage complex Finance projects across regions, teams, and systems.
Develop plans for projects that demonstrate a command of milestones, dependencies, resourcing, budget and risk.
Work with executive sponsors and business leads to ensure each project is properly scoped and chartered so that success can be measured.
Execute on project strategy with cross-functional involvement through project activities and governance.
Develop and maintain key project documentation to enable strong governance, such as charter, project plan, RAID log, and project status updates.
Facilitate communication across all project stakeholders to create open dialogue about project status, deliverables, and achievement of outcomes.
Proactively manage key stakeholders to escalate potential risks/issues of cross-functional relevance; assist in developing mitigation strategies and support their implementation.
Support strategic goals to improve and drive finance efficiency and effectiveness in order to deliver global consistency, scalability and accountability in PayPal Finance.
Bachelor or Finance or Business degree, or related curriculum. Certification in Project Management (PMP® or similar).
Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience in large, multinational companies. Preferably in the Banking, Fintech or Payment Industry.
Strong project management experience leveraging different methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) working with large and diverse teams in multiple locations.
Strong track record in independently driving projects to success on time, on budget and on quality.
Ability to proactively identify risks and work escalation paths to ensure proper risk recognition and resolution for projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, initiative and integrity.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a deadline-oriented environment.
Experience engaging with global, multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced, change intensive environments.
