Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Senior Director of HNW Underwriting and assist to lead a sub-team of 3 to 5 colleagues to deliver excellency in HNW Underwriting operations
  • Effectively manage and coordinate processes to expedite turnaround time to achieve NBUW targets
  • Consistently and accurately provide updated case information to key stakeholders
  • Handle case inquiries from sales staff / brokers and stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Handle and resolve problem cases skillfully and independently
  • Work collaboratively with distribution channels including agencies, brokers and bancassurance by delivering training and serving as an expert resource for non medical, regulatory and financial assessment of HNW products and large premium saving plans
  • Perform timely update of HNW Underwriting guidebooks for all distribution channels
  • Regularly review and streamline process workflow and make recommendations to enhance team efficiency and productivity
  • Closely work with internal business partners on assigned projects to implement business initiatives effectively
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes that impact underwriting and ensure underwriting practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support other duties as assigned, including but not limited to participation in products development, initiatives focus on processes / procedures / practices enhancements etc.

Candidate requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications with minimum 10 years of experience in new business function and case management  
  • Excellent knowledge in risk assessment, product design and market practices
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and presentation abilities
  • Excellent team player with high level of ownership and accountability
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment and can efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Cantonese, written and spoken English. Mandarin would be a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
