What you'll do:

As a Managing Director you'll be in a top-level leadership position responsible for executing the division's strategic plan and guiding your group in its efforts to meet the Bank's annual growth and customer retention targets. Leasing Product expertise and ability to work with Relationship managers and their customers across the bank will determine success. You’ll be expected to work with Portfolio Management staff to resolve any issues or facility refinancing for our existing customers.. Focus of the role will be to support ongoing sales efforts to new and existing customers as a product specialist. Expected to be able to structure and advise clients on various lease structures as well as determine credit worthiness of potential prospects

What we are looking for:

  • Responsible for supporting Senior Leadership in developing and executing the Bank's strategic plan, with specific focus of leading the efforts to grow the Leasing portfolio.  They are measured on their ability to support bankwide sales teams, portfolio health, and management of market dynamics.

  • Establishes the parameters for the various teams and business development officers regarding transaction pitches and negotiation of term sheets. Oversees the credit structuring development process, customer assessment, and presentation to senior and divisional loan committees.

  • Responsible for the group's success in managing portfolio health, and the team's efforts to pro-actively address deteriorating loan performance, mitigating risk from market developments, complications in service delivery, and product adoption.

  • Fosters strong, healthy working relationships with executive and senior leaders in partner departments (including Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, Loan Administration, and other internal support departments, and third-party services), and facilitates team's contribution to and compliance with technical processes and requirements, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.

  • Provides supervision to and directs the activities of their staff; performs supervisory tasks such as performance appraisals, corrective actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; develops work schedules; provides necessary training and coaching

Qualifications                                                                                                                   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and fifteen (10) years of Lending and/or Deposit Sales, Credit Administration or other related financial services experience                                                                      

  • Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.   

  • Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.

  • Advanced to expert Knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics, and has market specific awareness.

  • Strong speaking and writing skills for internal and external audiences                                                                                       

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $235,000.00 - $290,000.00 for Los Angeles, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
