We are looking for a QA engineer to join our mobile team, which is focused on the development of Lightspeed E-Series mobile applications. Our mission is to create excellent, user-friendly, and attractive tools for managing online stores.

In this role, you will join a team that focuses on Ecwid by Lightspeed Android and iOS applications that help our clients effectively manage their businesses on the go. Our goal is to ensure high quality for our mobile applications, allowing every active client to manage their business directly from their smartphone: solving urgent issues faster and more efficiently, completing everyday tasks, and monitoring business status from anywhere in the world.

You will be part of a friendly team that continually improves its engineering practices, develops a modern product, and enjoys the process. Additionally, your work will significantly simplify the lives of thousands of business owners.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Test mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
  • Develop, review, maintain, and execute manual test cases.
  • Analyze new functionality for compliance with established specifications.
  • Document test plans and testing procedures.
  • Update and maintain the knowledge base.
  • Identify potential cases for test automation to optimize processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to achieve common goals.
  • Participate in the process of supporting mobile application releases.

What you bring:

  • At least 1 year of experience in mobile testing on iOS and Android platforms, with a total of at least 3 years in the testing field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working on commercial projects.
  • Understanding of mobile app design principles.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with REST APIs and JSON.
  • Proficiency in tools for analyzing network traffic: Charles, Fiddler, etc.
  • Experience with GitHub.
  • Sufficient proficiency in Russian to understand and discuss with a Russian-speaking team and support internal documentation.
  • Proficient in English at a level sufficient for reading technical documentation and writing detailed bug reports.
  • Ability to conduct efficient testing and work with documentation to ensure high product quality.
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies, combined with an inherent sense of aesthetics.
  • A responsible work attitude — ability to complete tasks and bring projects to successful completion.

Nice to have:

  • Experience using mock services when testing functionality.
  • Basic knowledge of one programming language (Java/Kotlin, Swift, Python) or the ability to read code in Kotlin or Swift for more effective interaction with developers.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and experience with testing tools such as XCTest, Kaspresso/Espresso, Allure, TestRail.
