Job Summary:
The Import & Export Specialist has specialized knowledge in a particular aspect of trade compliance, such as tariff classification, export controls, or free trade agreements. They provide expert advice on complex trade matters, conduct in-depth research on regulatory changes, and support the broader trade compliance goals through their specialized expertise.

Responsibilities:

Compliance with Regulations and Documentation:
• Stay updated on import and export regulations and ensure all shipments comply with them
• Prepare and review necessary documentation for shipments, such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs forms
• Verify accuracy and completeness of all shipping documents
• Communicate any compliance issues to relevant parties and take necessary corrective actions

Communication and Relationship Management with Suppliers and Clients:
• Serve as the main point of contact for suppliers and clients regarding shipment inquiries and updates
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients to ensure smooth and efficient shipment process
• Negotiate shipping rates and terms with suppliers and clients
• Address and resolve any concerns or issues raised by suppliers or clients related to shipments

Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Collect and analyze data related to shipment volume, costs, and delivery times
• Generate reports and provide insights to management for decision making and process improvement
• Identify and implement strategies to optimize shipment processes and reduce costs
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and related data for future reference.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in International Business, Supply Chain Management or related field with at least 5 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Deep technical knowledge in a specific area of failure analysis, such as electronics, mechanics, or materials.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex EHS issues.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills to guide and develop junior analysts.
• Proven ability to influence and drive change across various levels of the organization.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
• Solid project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. On. Monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery of measurable results.

Salary range:

$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
