Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary Chief Corporate Development Officer (M&A) to lead GlobalFoundries’ inorganic growth strategy. This executive will drive mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships that accelerate innovation and expand our global footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape Growth Strategy: Define and execute a global M&A roadmap aligned with GF’s long-term objectives.
  • Lead Transactions: Manage the full deal lifecycle—sourcing, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
  • Build Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with industry leaders, investment banks, and advisors to identify opportunities.
  • Integration Excellence: Ensure seamless post-merger integration to deliver operational and cultural synergies.
  • Executive Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Finance, HR, and Business Units for flawless execution.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years in corporate development, investment banking, or strategy roles with a proven track record in large-scale M\&A.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, financial modeling, and integration planning expertise; strong leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Travel: Up to 75% globally.
