Job Purpose:

R&D Tech strive to deliver products and services to our R&D customers that meet the needs of the business whilst being intuitive, efficient, effective and satisfying to use. We require a highly skilled User Experience Manager with experience in business- and user-centred research, analysis, and design to join our Product team. This role will help uncover and understand user need by conducting robust user research and lead our design team to deliver outstanding user experiences within our product portfolio. The UX Manager will track performance against usability and adoption goals within the Development Data Marketplace team, reporting directly to the Marketplace Product Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of two Product Designers
  • Conduct user research through qualitative and quantitative means, ensuring that the highest value user needs are captured
  • Analyse the findings of your research & work with product designers and product owners to enhance the user experience and deliver value to users
  • Drive experience-led design activities through ideation workshops and working with designers on wireframing and prototyping
  • Enable business processes, and ensure the process is thoroughly mapped and optimized for usability
  • Work alongside Product Owners to realize the product vision & roadmap
  • Develop usability metrics & reporting (system usability score, NPS)
  • Develop adoption strategy, metrics & reporting
  • Benchmark our solution against internal and external solutions and use that knowledge to influence our approach
  • Partner with the Product Owners and customers as appropriate, providing system demos, demonstrating wireframes, communicating the business process and user journey to stakeholders, etc.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Total 15+ years out of which 8 years of experience in working with UI products (SaaS, etc.) with experience in software analysis, design and delivery
  • 4 years of experience working with UI products for healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology-related industries
  • Solid experience in the areas of user research, user experience design, and usability metrics
  • Experience with data products and analytics highly desirable
