Job Description

In an increasingly dynamic financial environment, this role will collaborate with leaders to shape the narrative for our future as we drive safe and responsible growth within Branch and Small Business Banking. This ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker proficient in synthesizing complex information and crafting high-quality materials to facilitate discussions around innovative solutions and continuous improvement.  

This role participates in the identification, design, development and implementation of assigned projects. Assigned projects may be general or systems related in nature. Interfaces with internal and external resources to ensure successful and timely completion in accordance with user needs. Participates in training users and evaluating the project. Manages performance of the project team and evaluates overall team performance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop a change agenda that aligns with U.S. Bank’s goals for Branch and Small Business Banking
  • Synthesis of Information: Analyze and synthesize complex data and reports to inform decision-making and strategic recommendations: Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and assess internal processes; Identify and address weaknesses or opportunities in strategies
  • Communication: Prepare high-quality written materials, including presentations, reports, and internal communications to convey strategic insights to stakeholders
  • Leadership Support: Provide guidance and support to leaders in business management and development functions, enhancing their ability to drive change and achieve strategic objectives
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong advisory relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, and foster collaboration throughout the change process

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in project management activities

  • Two or more years of managerial experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing high-impact materials for diverse audiences across various levels of management

  • Ability to distill complex information into actionable insights

  • Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on innovative solutions and continuous improvement

  • Thorough knowledge of branch banking and small business banking

  • Experience supporting business management functions and enhancing leadership effectiveness, with an ability to influence others

  • Expert knowledge of assigned business line or functional area

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Advanced knowledge of project management

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside of the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
