The Client Architect for Retail and Consumer Goods is a client-facing role to guide our most strategic customers and prospects on their digital transformation journey as they respond to the challenges and opportunities of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Working alongside the sales account team, you will be essential in helping customers translate their business strategy into a technology vision and roadmap, with the result of delivering realisable business outcomes. This will require a combination of business insight, an ability to advise customers on technology (software & digital) solutions with a primary focus on customer and employee experience. Your role will require hands-on technical experience, optimally orchestrating and/or co-leading POCs, technical deep dives, pilots and others, while ensuring a smooth transition of projects from pre-sales to post-sales throughout the customer lifecycle.
In this role you are required to bring together a broad vision for our customers, paired with the ability to bring this technically on the ground.

This position requires a senior individual with a strong blend of digital transformation, business, enterprise architecture and consultative skills. It is an expectation of the role that this individual will be able to build relevant connections with C-level partners and turn into a trusted advisor to both the client as well as the internal sales team.


You will be working with one of our strategic RCG client, recent experience in this industry is thus highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Technical Advisor: Serve as the technical architect for one strategic account, co-creating the account strategy and co-owning the technology vision and roadmap.
  • Trusted Advisor: Establish and maintain trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects, and their teams, guiding them through entrepreneurial initiatives to reinvent their business processes.
  • Digital Transformation Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of digital transformation, emphasizing the enhancement of customer and employee experiences and the application of innovative technologies.
  • Enterprise Architecture Leadership: Lead significant architecture engagements within this key account, analyzing the customer's business strategies and technology requirements. Develop tailored solutions that align with their long-term business outcomes.
  • Solution Development: Be responsible for crafting comprehensive case documents, visionary proposals, architectural work you're doing, solution roadmaps, and the delivery of POCs, technical deep-dives, pilots and other.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Operate effectively within a matrix organization, fostering collaboration across various teams and partners to ensure alignment and unified strategies from sales, to pre-sales and post-sales.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to sales, pre-sales, and customer teams, enhancing their capabilities in strategic opportunities and engagements.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Actively participate in delivering standard processes, industry-specific architectures, and educational sessions to customers, partners, and internal teams, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Experience/Skills

 

  • Technical Experience: Multi-year background in software vendor environments or enterprise architecture fields, supplying to a deep understanding of the strategic application of technology solutions.
  • Technology Solution Expertise: Proven experience in designing, selling, and/or implementing technology-based solutions, with a gooda strong foundationM, customer-focused digital applications, data strategy and functional architecture.
  • Business Value Articulation: Skilled at identifying and optimally communicating the business benefits of technology decisions to partners at all levels.
  • Digital Transformation Proficiency: Well-acquainted with modern digital operating models and transformation programs, emphasizing strategic overhaul and operational agility.
  • Cloud Technology Acumen: Sophisticated knowledge of cloud-based platform principles, and their integration into an organization's IT strategy and overall enterprise architecture.

Desired Skills

 

  • Industry Expertise: Deep experience working within one or more specific industries, providing a thorough understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities. Expertise in Retail and Consumer Goods is preferred.
  • Architectural Mastery: Experienced in applying architectural frameworks, principles, and tools to develop effective enterprise solutions.
  • Compliance and Security Awareness: Familiarity with the specific data privacy, security, and compliance requirements relevant to cloud solutions within various industries and regions.
  • Innovative Design Capability: Knowledge of design thinking or similar innovative frameworks, enhancing problem-solving and creative solution development.
