In the role Sr Analyst Finance, you will be responsible for spend activities and processes (e.g. work orders, invoice processing) for the Safety and Reliability (S&R) team, along with the collection, tracking and transparency of department plans and initiatives associated with PO spending and tracking (in part to ensure alignment between funding and spend/forecasting).

What you will do:

• Generate new Purchase Orders/SRO and change orders for S&R.
• Navigate Work Order and contracting processes (e.g. creation, tracking, closure) and invoicing processes to support department activities.
• Accountable for the timely coding and processing of invoices in financial systems. Also accountable for troubleshooting and resolving vendor payment issues and concerns.
• Work with suppliers and AP/SCM to resolve outstanding issues.
• Process invoices for remediation work and hazardous waste management work.
• Monitors department initiatives for progress against planned spend profiles and ensures transparency of the allocated spend (or lack thereof) associated with PO Spend.

Who you are:

• Requires a related university degree or technical diploma with minimum of 2 years of experience OR a combination of related certification and experience.
• Requires an attention to detail, with the ability to filter large amounts of data/information and focus on key messages/deliverables.
• Sound knowledge of company structure (e.g. organizations, cost centers) and standard processes and procedures (e.g. budget cycles, work orders and contracts, invoice coding).
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and office communication technology. Financial system skills with Oracle, SAP, Markview, Hyperion are beneficial.
• Strong understanding of how financial reporting and accounting process’s function related to budgeting, operating expense management and financial reporting.
• Able to track PO spending to Budget / Forecast.
