What You'll Do

As Operations Reporting Specialist Sr., you will play a key role to plan, manage and support the successful production and delivery of various unitholder documents. Documents include Financial Statements, Financial Reports, Tax Slips, Annual Regulatory Notices and Transaction Confirmation Statements. The Operations Reporting Specialist Senior will also act as the primary contact with our vendors and internal and external Business Partners.

You should consider this opportunity if you are passionate and have a demonstrated interest in Investor Regulatory Reporting and possess strong communication and organizational skills.  In this role, your responsibilities will focus on several key areas:

Subject Matter Expert (SME):

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify, translate and support all technical specifications and production aspects for assigned unitholder reporting tasks.

  • Translate business objectives into procedures and create processes.

  • Lead issue resolution related to unitholder reporting, including communicating to impacted parties.

  • Provide training as required.

  • Coordinate and implement requested document changes and process improvements.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage external vendor relationships to support current and future needs of the business, including being the Supplier Relationship Manager for key vendors.

  • Maintain positive vendor relationships, measuring performance, resolving challenges and implementing process improvements.

  • Regular review of vendor quality assurance procedures.

  • Participate and collaborate in vendor audits.

Manage Communications:

  • Manage communications with external and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients, manage communication strategies, and deliver clear and concise timely communications.

  • Add value to the client experience by understanding what's important, recognizing what needs to be done and taking personal accountability for creating a positive "moment of truth."

  • Prepare monthly reports for clients.

Support Department:

  • Lead and support Departmental initiatives.

  • Participate in quality assurance efforts, including user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Contribute to budgeting and Business Planning activities.

  • Identify and lead implementation for departmental initiatives.

  • Handle all escalated requests immediately.

  • Identify and implement enhancements to close all gaps that are identified

The Expertise You Bring

  • Strong planning, preparation and organizational skills

  • Detailed knowledge of mutual fund industry.

  • Strong excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Highly developed writing and communication skills. Team Player with client service focus

  • Nice to have: Knowledge of tax legislation and regulatory rules related to financial services Investor Reporting.

  • Some weekend and after-hours work is required.

  • University/college degree/diploma or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the mutual fund industry.

  • Experience in coordinating tasks with multiple stakeholders
