The Opportunity:

As an integral member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for financial management reporting, financial analysis, performance assessment and forecasting with an overriding objective of driving the business forward.

What You Will Do:

Reporting to the Manager, Finance Decision Support, the Senior Financial Analyst will:

Financial Analysis and Decision Support.

  • Responsible for conducting and documenting complex financial and economic analysis
  • Ad-hoc analysis to help drive business decisions
  • Provide financial analysis for emerging business opportunities, trends and financial results
  • Support the team with peer review of all work to ensure no material quality or accuracy gaps

Business Planning, Budgeting and Financial Reporting

  • Take ownership and responsibility of key reporting deliverables each month for timely deadlines
  • Develop, manage and regularly present a reporting framework, including key success measures
  • Update scorecards for the business, including commentary
  • Determine need for existing or new reports, and design new reports and frameworks to address needs of business and proactively anticipates future requirements

Focus on Process

  • Manage a process to high quality and efficiency standards, and determine the necessary inputs and outputs to meet customer needs
  • Constantly assesses processes for improvement opportunities
  • Take ownership for ensuring all work and/or processes are documented

What We’re Looking For:

  • More than 3 years of experience working in a financial analyst role within a finance department
  • Experience in financial analysis and modeling, reporting, budgeting and/or business planning
  • University Degree, with a focus in business (Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or Mathematics/Statistics preferred)
  • Advanced experience in reporting tools such Power BI, PowerPoint, Tableau
  • Completion of or working towards a financial/accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) and/or CFA or MBA

  • Financial Systems and Technology - Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ease at handling of big datasets
  • Familiarity with business intelligence applications (i.e. Business Objects, etc.)Project Management Skills and Knowledge.
  • Draw project conclusions and make recommendations
  • Display thorough knowledge of financial systems, Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing systems and makes recommendations
  • Demonstrate personal ownership and accountability for delivering on commitments

You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.
