Job Description:

The Financial Analyst for the Sun Life IT department (Digital, Business and Technology Solutions (DBTS)) will partner with the DBTS IT delivery teams to provide support for all finance related activities including business casing, strategic planning, budgeting/forecasting, reporting, chargeback process and cost optimization for the DBTS portfolio. The Financial Analyst must be able to partner with the key DBTS stakeholders as well as the business units on decisions to ensure that the business is financially successful. This role will support the Security, Corporate IT and SLC DSI functions within DBTS.

What will you do?

• Lead DBTS financial tracking, monitoring and cost optimization initiatives

• Manage monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting cycles

• Provide value to IT and the business through early identification of financial risks & opportunities and other ad hoc report and analysis

• Lead DBTS Financial cost modeling and business casing

What do you need to succeed?

• Progressive experience within the financial management functions (3-5 years)

• Extensive experience in building and operating financial controls and analysis

• Financial reporting and data analytics skills

• Proven track record of partnering with and influencing business units to drive results

• Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

Preferred:

• CPA

• Experience in working with large, complex organizations is an asset

• Prior experience in Expense Management is an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
