About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Global Supply Planning to lead supplier operations and planning activities across our manufacturing network. This role will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners, ensuring effective supplier management, operational excellence, compliance, quality delivery, and supply continuity.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing supplier performance, resolving operational challenges, supporting strategic planning initiatives, and driving collaboration across a diverse global supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the performance of contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure operational, quality, compliance, and delivery expectations are consistently met.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external manufacturing partners, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution.
- Lead supplier-related activities including:
- Vendor selection and evaluation
- Supplier onboarding
- Quotation and costing support
- Performance monitoring and continuous improvement
- Partner with suppliers to address technical issues, production challenges, schedule conflicts, capacity constraints, and quality concerns.
- Ensure suppliers operate in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and relevant quality management practices.
- Monitor supplier compliance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service levels, and risk management.
- Support feasibility assessments, cost evaluations, and supplier quotation processes.
- Coordinate and maintain supplier documentation, manuals, and operational guidelines.
- Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers, including assessments of operational capability and financial stability.
- Drive operational initiatives and planning activities that support both short- and medium-term business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while managing performance, resource planning, and overall team effectiveness.
What You Will Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing operations, supplier management, planning, or related functions.
- At least 2 years of people management or supervisory experience.
- Experience working with external manufacturers, suppliers, or contract manufacturing partners.
- Strong organizational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and matrixed environment.
Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education, subject to business needs and hiring manager assessment.
