The Therapeutic Area Specialist is a bridging role across the Sales, Science, Product Management and Operations teams within each business unit, building out a cohesive Therapeutic Area offering, providing customers with a comprehensive solution for their development program. This position will direct efforts toward creating and providing ongoing support of the Therapeutic Area approach, championing the mission of leveraging Clario’s scientific expertise to differentiate our organization.

What you’ll do:
- Support the coordination of several therapeutic areas with acute focus on alignment and expansion of service offerings.
- Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives. Identifies training needs/learning opportunities related to TA specialization and conducts the training of staff.
- Guide and help prioritize the product roadmap to deliver more value for our sponsors, patients and studies at the TA level.
- Act as the bridge between Science, Sales, Operations, and Product Management, coordinating the internal resources to support customer needs. In collaboration with domain experts, support the development of Clario’s TA strategies and solutions to provide a unified Clario experience with a focus on the needs of our customer, sites and patients.
- Support Sales with in-depth knowledge across Clario modalities at the TA level by researching, defining and documenting the TA specific solutions.
- Establish internal TA brand recognition with key stakeholders, developing and maintaining collaborative cross functional and business relationships.
- Proactively share subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients.
- Collaborate with the Clario science team to maintain the publication and thought leadership database which is analyzed to build out messaging around areas of research focus.
- Compile and analyze scientific metrics on an ongoing basis.

What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, communications, nursing, or equivalent related education and experience.
- 5-7 years relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical/medical device); or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Ideal candidate already has a reasonable working knowledge of Clario offerings and services
- In-depth understanding of the clinical trials process, as well as the different models of outsourcing and potential strategies
- Possesses the necessary project management skills to be able to effectively manage projects across more than one TA
- Strong leadership, client engagement, strategic thinking, and consultative skill set and the ability to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities in a matrix organization.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, and report writing.
- Confident and capable in the use of technology, applications, and other media e.g. databases and internet to research new opportunities, maintain therapeutic and operational knowledge, and competitive landscape.
- Remain up to date with knowledge and information that supports effectiveness as a Therapeutic Area Specialist e.g. understanding Clario’s services, tools and product offerings, status and trends in assigned TA(s), innovations and advances in clinical trial methodology, and business intelligence.
- Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients in the life sciences industry.
- Flexible and able to work in situations where specifications may or may not be well defined and willing to support work in other therapeutic areas when required
