The Opportunity

We aim to restore health and improve quality of life through device solutions to treat Congenital and  Structural Heart disease.  We lead markets by providing solutions with improved risk/benefit profiles compared to existing best therapies.


The Congenital Clinical Sales Specialist will support and promote Abbott percutaneous treatment options for atrial septal defects (ASD), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), and ventricular septal defects (VSD).

The Clinical Sales Specialist provides clinical and sales support through procedure coverage, education, and aiding the region in meeting its performance goals. In this role, the Clinical Sales Specialist will train physicians and staff on the use of products and the importance of our therapies.  The CSS will also communicate product, clinical, and market data to appropriate Abbott personnel to support the company’s efforts to develop products and implement product marketing strategies.

What You’ll Work On

  • Coordinate with the Territory Manager, Region Director, and customers to provide procedure coverage, ensuring the best clinical outcomes.
  • Play an active role in aiding the region to meet its performance goals.
  • Serve as the primary resource in the cath lab for procedure preparation, troubleshooting, proctoring, and education.
  • Active participation at industry conferences and Abbott functions.
  • This role requires a strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician specialties and personality types.

Required travel may be greater than 50% of the time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

Required Qualifications  

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience. 
  • 6+ years of related cardiovascular work experience.

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Degree in life sciences or medical training (RN, RT, NP, etc.).
  • Experience with interventional cardiology products (wires, sheaths, catheters, etc.).
  • Cardiac echo and fluoroscopic imaging interpretation experience
  • Two or more years of medical device industry experience
  • Preference given for experience with Structural Heart, Electrophysiology, Radiology, NICU

The base pay for this position is

$64,000.00 – $128,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
