What You’ll Work On

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis provides financial leadership to the United Stated Core Diagnostics Commercial Organization.  Abbott Core Diagnostics provides comprehensive laboratory solutions designed to enhance healthcare performance.  Abbott’s offerings include a wide range of diagnostic tests and instruments used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics worldwide. These solutions cover various areas such as clinical chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, and infectious diseases.  The incumbent will drive financial planning processes, ensure data integrity, and provide critical business insights to executive leadership.  The incumbent will lead a team of Finance Supervisors dedicated to the main regions within the US.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including Plans, LBE’s, and long-range projections, ensuring data integrity and compliance with GAAP and Abbott’s policies. Facilitate executive decision-making with high-quality presentations
  • Create innovative financial tools to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance margin profitability and streamline financial processes.
  • Maintain controls to ensure the integrity of assets and compliance with applicable policies, procedures and guidelines; interpret financial results, evaluate risks of alternatives, recommend actions and develop strategies to address various scenarios.
  • Oversee month-end accounting to deliver timely, accurate, and well-presented P&L, balance sheet, and sales reports.
  • Build and lead a high-performing financial team. Foster teamwork, drive results, and ensure staff development through mentoring, performance management, and recognition.
  • Implement efficient planning processes for the division, coordinating key dates and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and present monthly financial reviews to Global Headquarters Senior Staff
  • Ensure EHS goals are established and achieved. Promote adherence to EHS policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Recognize EHS achievements across the organization. Ensure departmental employees receive EHS training.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

Experience: Minimum 8 years

Preferred Qualification

Master's Degree

Relevant experience to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position

The base pay for this position is

$125,300.00 – $250,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
