Job Description:

Overall Position Description

The FP&A R&D Manager provides financial leadership, planning, reporting, and decision support for J&J MedTech, Electrophysiology Israel . This role partners closely with R&D leadership, department heads, project managers, finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to support business planning, forecasting, reporting, headcount management, capital management, and compliance activities. The position is responsible for translating financial results and business drivers into actionable insights that support effective decision-making and operational execution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis activities, including business plan development, forecast updates, project spend analysis, headcount planning, and capital planning.
  • Provide financial guidance and decision support to R&D leaders, department heads, and project managers to support business planning and operational priorities.
  • Prepare, review, and manage financial reporting submissions, including monthly and quarterly actuals, P&L reporting, forecast cycles, headcount reports, capital reports, and other related finance deliverables.
  • Monitor actual performance against business plans, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate key financial insights to management.
  • Support cross-functional HTC activities such as headcount management, master data management, and approval hierarchies 
  • Oversee fixed asset budget management by reviewing spending against budget, validating capital reporting structures, and supporting business inquiries related to fixed assets.
  • Support financial management of Israel Innovation Authority and other government programs, including grant applications, progress reporting, annual submissions, and audit activities.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with SOX requirements per Company guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise and develop FP&A team members, as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of six years of FP&A experience required.
  • Experience managing business planning, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes preferred.
  • Experience working with international corporate teams or cross-regional stakeholders preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools; experience with SAP, SIGNIFI (CFIN, AFO, and Anaplan) and Advantage.
  • High proficiency in Hebrew and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, teamwork, and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with senior management, and operate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Primary work location is Yokneam, with flexibility to travel as needed.
