Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Troy, MI!

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing continuous service to all commercial lines, new and existing clients and assisting the producer in retention of business. Through servicing, develop a thorough knowledge of the accounts, becoming liaison between the insured, the producer, or other departments within the agency and the carriers.

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Serve as main contact for all accounts assigned

  • Maintain and service all renewal policies

  • Assist insureds with their service needs not limited to policy quotations, application completion, policy changes and questions, billing and claims questions

  • Identify accounts for possible remarketing to help retain accounts

  • Ensure all quotes are accurate prior to being proposed

  • Responsible for documentation control (scanned, paper, electronic, verbal, etc)

  • Knowledge of Quality Control Compliance standards for department

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain with 6 months Insurance Designation (ie RHU, CISR, CIC, ARM) (preferred)

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a business or financial related discipline (preferred)

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • 1-2 years' experience in similar position
