Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and scale backend infrastructure to support and optimize video ads, monetization features, and ad quality control across the platform.
  • Build data-driven applications that unlock monetization opportunities for both creators and global advertising partners.
  • Engineer systems for advertisement quality control, case analysis, and machine learning model training to ensure content and actor integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, product, and infrastructure to ensure seamless integration of backend services.
  • Architect and maintain systems that enhance the advertiser experience, fostering trust between brands and the platform.
  • Utilize data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design to ensure robust, scalable, and high-performing backend services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering with a focus on large-scale platforms.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Go, Python, or Java.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, networking, and data security.
  • Experience in building and scaling backend services for internet products, especially in the advertisement technology or monetization space.
  • Hands-on experience with building infrastructure for ad quality control, machine learning model training, and data-driven case analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to design high-quality, maintainable code with a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Experience working with large-scale video platforms or short-form content services.
  • Knowledge of ad tech and monetization ecosystems, including ad serving, targeting, and optimization.
  • Experience working with distributed systems at scale and a passion for building innovative and efficient systems that drive revenue growth.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
