We are seeking a Mid-Level Automation Tester to join our team in a highly secure SCIF environment. The Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the reliability and performance of classified systems. You will collaborate with development teams to create comprehensive test plans and identify any issues or bugs in a secure and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and security teams to understand application functionality and design effective test strategies.
  • Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects to development teams, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Create and manage test data, ensuring accurate coverage of functional, security, and performance testing scenarios.
  • Perform regression testing to validate changes and fixes to the system.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of automated testing within a SCIF environment, adhering to classified system policies and procedures.
  • Support both functional and non-functional testing, including load and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and results to project stakeholders and technical teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automation testing, with hands-on experience in developing and executing automated tests for complex applications.
  • Proficiency with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or other similar automation frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into DevOps practices.
  • Strong experience with test case management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a secure, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience testing within highly secure environments, such as SCIF, is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Experience with security testing for classified systems.
  • Certifications such as Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or ISTQB are a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and containerization tools like Docker.

Work Environment:

  • This position is 100% onsite in a SCIF environment, ensuring the secure handling of classified information.
  • Must be adaptable to working in a highly secure and controlled environment.
  • Occasional after-hours testing may be required for system updates and releases.
