The Database Reporting Analyst job family is responsible for the reporting of operational, financial, clinical, and performance improvement data.

Experience REQUIRED:
Three to six years of related experience
Complete understanding and broad application of technical principles, theories and concepts in principal discipline and working knowledge of related disciplines. Intermediate understanding of the system development life cycle, database management languages, relational databases, change management, and testing processes with a fundamental understanding of client-server architecture.
Approaches expert level on the business processes, workflow, and data model of at least one major operational, financial, or clinical area with broad knowledge of other major areas.
General understanding of the interactions between all reporting, scheduling, and data movement applications with the ability to collaborate on design and development efforts with Architects and ETL developers.
Ability to make and coordinate modifications to existing functionality on most reporting platforms as well as the skill to troubleshoot as needed
Strong written communication skills

Experience PREFERRED

Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Basic knowledge of database monitoring and SQL tuning tools and processes.
Intermediate level expertise in at least one major reporting platform (Cognos, Tableau, Informatica) with beginner to intermediate knowledge of the others. Intermediate knowledge of SQL

This role will directly support the data analyses associated with U.S. News and World Report's Best Children's Hospitals Survey. The analyst will collaborate closely with Division Chiefs, hospital leadership, and clinical teams to ensure reliable, robust reporting each year while also supporting ongoing improvement efforts through meaningful dashboards and data visualizations.
