The Network Infrastructure Engineering Manager role provides overall leadership for the day-to-day management, operational oversight, support, and technical expertise for the Enterprise Network infrastructure.

Provide overall leadership for the day-to-day management of a small team of Engineers that provide support to SNC’s application and business customers.
• Deliver on project activities within agreed timelines, provide guidance and direction to support teams, as well as other areas of IT within the greater SNC organization.

This position will be responsible for participating directly in the planning, managing, and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure job scheduling, efficiency, capacity management, system performance, offsite replication, and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Application teams to support SNC’s business platforms and assorted enterprise toolsets, providing technical support for application and business customers.
  • Responsible for the Planning, design, implementation, and Securing of the Companies network Infrastructure including Cisco Switches, ASA VPN solutions, Palo Alto Firewalls, Wireless network, interoperating with Azure, and responding to threats and alerts.
  • Principal RTE (Run the Engine) support for SNC’s Network operation, support escalation, troubleshooting system and server errors.  Performs resolution of complex network hardware, software application and subsystems as part of critical incident response and remediation.
  • Participates in the planning and management of enterprise monthly Standard Maintenance weekend activities.
  • Collaborates with peer organizations in SNC to ensure SLAs for incident and problem management are met.
  • Provide proactive system performance monitoring and resolution of alerts for organization’s assets, as well as performing preventative maintenance and daily health checks reducing system downtime.
  • Partner with and guide other internal infrastructure engineers to perform operational support and project activities and reporting to system owners and stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical escalation for engineers to assist in complex troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
  • Trains technical staff on use of software/hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures.
  • Participate in after-hours critical production support as required.  On-call support will be required for this role.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Certification

  •  Certifications such as CCNP Security, CCNA Security, PCNSE or CISSP are highly desirable
  • Familiar with Project Management methodology and SDLC.
  • Other Cisco, Palo Alto, or Microsoft centric certifications a plus

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology service/product management leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience in Network and Network Security delivery management, Microsoft Azure AD integration, Securing Cloud network resources, Conditional Access Policy management and interoperating with third party applications.
  • Demonstrated Experience working with Azure AD, Cisco ASA, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience opening priority incidents with external vendors and driving to resolution.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Thorough understanding of how discrete infrastructure components work together in an Enterprise environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
  • Exceptional skills in the mentoring and development of team resources to ensure a core focus on providing career development opportunities for your direct reports
  • Strong technical foundation that enables thoughtful troubleshooting during complex incidents.
  • Familiarity working in an Agile and DevOps environment preferred.
