Job Description Summary:

PayPal, Inc. seeks Product Manager 3 - Technical in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Demonstrate strong technical background in the field of computer science, information systems, internet technologies, product or program management with a deep understanding for PayPal’s strategic and competitive position in the Payments industry to deliver best in class products. Define the product vision, strategy & road map for product features in scope and drive E2E efforts that are crucial to the success of the organization. Collaborate closely with both external stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, risk, analytics, marketing to translate business needs into detailed product requirements. Manage the E2E life cycle of product features in scope including day-to-day technical and operational management, such as attending scrum meetings and demos, in collaboration with key stakeholders. Analyze complex, large datasets to draw insights, make informed product decisions, and tradeoffs to deliver seamless customer and platform experiences. Conduct competitor research to identify significant growth opportunities and optimization areas that aligns with the goals and priorities of the organization. Telecommuting permitted - work can be performed from anywhere in the US

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field plus 18 months of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1) Managing the E2E life cycle of a SaaS/PaaS Product from inception to delivery (18 months)
2) Demonstrate in-depth knowledge or hands-on experience in key areas such as API integrations, System Analysis & Design, Information Security, IT Security Controls, Encryption Standards (18 months)
3) Proven track record of building platform product capabilities from ideation to execution (0 to 1); adept in creating sequence and block diagrams to visually communicate key processes and interactions within the platform. (18 months)
4) Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks, algorithms, and their applications to optimize product flows and features. (1 year)
5) Experience defining the product vision and strategy and roadmaps aligned with business objectives (18 months)
6) Seasoned in writing user stories that effectively communicate product requirements to development teams. (18 months)
7) Comfortable in conducting in-depth market/competitor research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor product offerings, and identify new opportunities (1 year)
8) Practice Agile development methodologies throughout the project lifecycle including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to drive project deliverables (18 months)
9) Demonstrate data driven mindset with strong analytical skills, ability to query data using SQL and visualize insights using tools like Tableau (18 months)
10) Proven ability to craft test cases, A/B testing strategies, and experimentation into the product development lifecycle and optimize product performance (1 year)
11) Proficient in technical problem solving and troubleshooting and guiding the engineering teams to find effective solutions (18 months)
12) Hands-on experience using tools such as Miro, Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, Looker, Figma, balsamiq.io, Visual Studio  (1 year)
13) Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in articulating and presenting complex technical product ideas, strategies, and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. (18 months)
14) Adept in creating, maintaining, and enhancing technical documentation, including specifications, API documentation, and user guides. (18 months)
15) Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders engagement to deliver project outcomes (18 months)

Additional Job Description:

Base salary: $135,408-176,000 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
