Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Shared Services and Platform Portfolio. This person will specifically focus on driving our modernization efforts pertaining to our Cloud Platform for Vehicle Inventory Solutions. You will lead the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC), collaborating with diverse stakeholders across internal teams (marketing, sales, finance, customer experience, engineering, etc.) as well as external teams (ISVs, Dealers, Vendor Management, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Product Development: Oversee the full product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring product features align with business strategy and customer needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, finance, customer experience, engineering, and partner management teams to prioritize feature enhancements, manage the roadmap, and drive revenue growth.
  • Tech Modernization: Champion the modernization of CDK’s Vehicle Platform, aligning inventory products and experiences to provide a seamless and advanced customer experience.
  • Requirement Shaping: Assist in defining individual product requirements in support of the overall product strategy.
  • User Story Development: Ensure user personas and product requirements are accurately reflected in user stories, and develop Epics as needed.
  • Agile Methodology: Partner with Scrum Masters and agile teams for backlog grooming and timely decision-making on product requirement trade-offs.
  • Product Vision Translation: Convert product vision and Features (Epics) into user stories, based on feedback from dealers/customers and analysis of user personas.
  • Backlog Management: Manage the backlog for sprint teams, prioritize user backlog, and support full lifecycle from definition to retrospective.
  • Value Proposition: Work with other product managers and product marketing to articulate the value proposition for user stories and features.
  • Performance Metrics: Understand and monitor key product success metrics (e.g., adoption, profitability, NPS, market share growth) and how they relate to user stories and Features.
  • Continuous Learning: Invest in gaining functional expertise and SME through training and collaboration with experienced CDK product managers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of Product Management experience in Enterprise SaaS, with full lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing products that are Platform Services. 
  • Familiarity with Agile software/DevOps methodologies and working with globally distributed teams.
  • Proven success in creating user stories and driving end-to-end product releases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in facilitating customer communications.
  • Ability to collaborate and build consensus across cross-functional areas.
  • Strong technical aptitude, able to translate business requirements into actionable user stories.
  • Proven track record of product execution in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the automotive or related industries, and relevant customer environments.
  • Experience with the Pragmatic Institute framework.
  • Experience in operations management and Go-To-Market strategies.

Base Salary Ranges: $100,000 - $117,000
