Sr Service Reliability Engineer

Join our team! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Reliability Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our IT services and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust systems, while continuously improving our service reliability practices.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Sr Service Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible to:

  • System Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable, resilient, and efficient systems and infrastructure. Collaborate with software engineering teams to influence design and architecture decisions to improve service reliability.
  • Monitoring and Incident Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of services. Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to resolve service disruptions quickly and effectively. Establish and refine incident management processes and playbooks.
  • Performance and Capacity Management: Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks and potential issues. Plan and implement capacity management strategies to handle growth and ensure system scalability.
  • Automation and Tooling: Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error. Develop and maintain internal tools to support reliability engineering efforts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service reliability and operational efficiency. Implement and advocate for best practices in reliability engineering and DevOps.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and product management. Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to build a strong reliability engineering culture within the team.

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on service reliability, system administration.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (DtaDog, ServiceNow, Grafana)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
