Senior Architect - Flutter Group, Hybrid & Remote

Role purpose:

Flutter Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of robust security architectures across our security and IT infrastructure. This senior role necessitates hands-on engagement with a diverse array of security technologies, as well as the development of comprehensive security policies, standards, and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with various technical teams to seamlessly integrate security measures into our systems and applications.
 

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in security architecture and design within significantly large enterprise environments, with a particular focus on translating prominent information security standards and frameworks into actionable practices tailored to our organisation’s needs. A strong familiarity with AWS and other cloud security services is advantageous, and expertise in cloud security practices and supporting security tool ecosystems is essential.
 

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of developing and implementing standardised security patterns that enable organisations to elevate their security postures. This role requires a collaborative mindset, adeptness at navigating interdependencies within global teams, and the ability to work closely with internal engineering teams, partners, and other stakeholders across diverse functions and brands.
 

The successful candidate will also have experience in driving large-scale migration and modernisation transformation projects with a strong focus on cybersecurity. A customer-centric approach, combined with a deep, hands-on technical understanding of security best practices, is essential for fostering business transformation in today’s evolving threat landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee robust security architectures, including hands-on involvement with security technologies and practices.
  • Translate prominent information security frameworks and standards into practical artefacts, ways of working, and design language, ensuring their effective integration within the organisation.
  • Develop, review, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures, with hands-on integration into the development lifecycle.
  • Provide expert review and approval of security designs for new systems and applications.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, offering hands-on expertise to ensure secure design and operation of systems and applications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest security trends, actively engaging with the security community and adapting security architectures as necessary.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and service providers, ensuring effective delivery of security-related services.
  • Lead the continuous enhancement of security processes and controls, including hands-on review and update of security policies and procedures.
  • Enhance the organisation's security posture through strategic collaboration with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of the organisation's security strategy and roadmap, recognising opportunities for strategic collaboration, and providing hands-on support where needed.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of proven experience  in cybersecurity architecture and design, demonstrating hands-on proficiency in security technologies.
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud-based platforms  within an enterprise setting
  •  Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Practical experience with identity and access management systems
  • Committed to sharing knowledge across the wider security community
  • Experience working in agile environment
  • Proficiency in incident, change, problem, and risk management
  • Bonus points  for previous experience in software engineering, coding, and automation
