Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries (GF) is seeking a recognized industry leader with proven expertise in opto-electrical test and co-packaging solutions to architect, develop and deploy an industry-first SiPh test ecosystem capable to test wafer & module level SiPh integrated circuit designs used in the growing Data Center, High-performance Computing markets and built with GF next-generation proprietary technologies. The successful candidate is recognized by the industry as an authority & innovator in these areas and has a proven record of building and leading industry partnerships geared to develop state-of-the-art, scalable solutions that optimize novelty, quality and cost parameters.
Essential Responsibilities:
Establish and drive implementation of a long-term SiPh test strategy aligned with SiPh technology development, product qualification, sorting and P&L requirements.
Lead partnership with standards bodies, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), prober and packaging vendors to define and deploy a commercially available SiPh Test ecosystem that enables a high-volume, cost-effective wafer & module level test capability for characterization, qualification and production test of high-speed, photonic integrated circuits (PIC) built with GF proprietary technologies.

Lead SiPh Test program managers for engagement with client design teams to define, optimize product test requirements, hardware & software solution to ensure cost-effective scale capacity and excellence in execution to be obtained by either organic and/or inorganic growth.
Drive collaboration across internal functional teams and third party OSAT partners to bring development solutions from characterization through qualification and into high-volume production, then ensure continued yield improvements.
Full-time position at GF state-of-the-art SiPh Test Lab in Essex Junction, VT with opportunity for remote work flexibility.

Required Qualifications:
PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering.
10+ years demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams - across sites and industry groups – for programs of strategic nature, with growth into setting industry direction and impacting company earnings.
Proven record of team-based problem solving for short- to medium- term technology, design, or manufacturing issues, while providing advice on architecture, critical problems, key customer issues. Growth into impacting longer term issues.
15+ years' proven experience in electro-optic characterization techniques and high-volume test solutions for high-speed, RF/mm Wave, electro-optic products on commercially available ATE platforms.
Advanced understanding of silicon photonic, high-speed & mm-wave circuit design.
Leading inventor on key patents, with growth into many such key patents. First author on many publications with many citations, with growth into many of these being key publications in the field.
Mastery of verbal and written communication to successfully interact with highly technical teams, engage with highly versed clients and to provide documentation of the highest quality.
Excellence in coaching and mentoring senior staff, with growth into work with high-level technical employees, managers within and outside the organization.
Demonstrated excellence in execution, analytical & positive thinking, desire to innovate, accountability for your work and people skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA from international accredited institutions.
15+ PCB board design with emphasis on high-speed, low noise and matching techniques.
15+ years of direct design experience in electro-optic applications such as modulators, Lidar, or multiplexing circuits.
Advanced C or C++ Programming in a Linux environment. Fluency in shell scripting, multi-paradigm (Matlab/R) and high-level programming languages (Python/Perl) for automation and statistical data analysis.
Proven theoretical and applied knowledge of Electro-Magnetic and Opto-electrical simulation theories with 15+ years' experience using relevant tools.

Expected Salary Range
$163,000.00 - $296,400.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
