What you will be doing:

The Manager Consulting Services will have significant responsibility for engagement delivery, service line team member growth, engagement oversight, solution design and implementation, and generation of project sales and results. The Manager works closely with client executives, c-suite, and staff throughout organizations to drive project success and ongoing work. The Manager should be competent in holding executive relationships, managing team member growth, sales, and successful project delivery. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable of supply chain leading practices and healthcare trends.  At a high level, this position is expected to manage a significant amount of project work, lead sales pursuits throughout the year, and support the development of the consulting staff. This role may focus on one or more of the following areas:

Pharmacy: Key focus is contracting, project/program management, compliance, vendor management and spend reduction of all Pharmacy related spend within one of Premier’s members. The manager will establish and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy and supply chain stakeholders, enabling rapid dissemination of important information regarding contract portfolios, educational services, technology products, and other pharmacy-centric solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, create, drive and deliver innovative service strategies and tools to generate significant profitable revenue opportunities at new and existing clients.

  • Sales ability – lead the proposal development process, identifies potential engagements, and potential up-sell opportunities

  • Develop strong client relationships to expand current projects and identify new business and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Manage multiple engagements and workstreams

  • Lead and focus team efforts in data gathering and analysis, data interpretation, process design and formulating conclusions and recommendations.

  • Develop deliverables and reports that align with the scope of the project along with the client’s vision and goals

  • Specific knowledge, with past experience, of supply chain within hospitals and health systems (value analysis, sourcing/ contracting, requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, distribution/ receiving, inventory management, data management/ scm technology) with ability to evaluate these functions during client engagement

  • Lead team efforts in developing solutions to difficult or complex client situations to ensure goals and objectives are met, including delivering results on time and within budget.

  • Conduct client interviews related to data analysis, data interpretation, and process design.

  • Provide quality control for work done by engagement team.

  • Prepare final client status reports and create presentations to clients and engagement staff that demonstrate full command of factual material.

  • Utilize proprietary tracking tools to measure project progress, benefits provided to clients, and achievement of budget expectations.

  • Manage day to day client relationships

  • Ability to lead engagements from start to finish, create project deliverables, report out on findings, and manage day-to-day project tasks

  • Effectively works to create a winning team environment, building positive client and team relationships

  • Works with leadership to identify issues and communicates effectively with project sponsor, teammates, and engagement leadership

  • Is the face to the client executives and works directly with them to develop strategy and vision and connect that to project milestones and direction

  • Play a key role in the professional development and performance review of staff, including the mentoring and recruiting of staff.

  • Collaborate with project planning and staff scheduling to insure leverage of resources

  • Participate in practice management which includes tools, methodologies, recruiting, people development and proposals as appropriate.

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 5 or more years

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Experience:

  • Specific knowledge and experience in operations, inventory management and inventory control, or extensive understanding of clinical operations

  • Ability to provide guidance to junior staff as they develop large amounts of data and distill into an integrated, concise report

  • An individual who has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to present effectively to senior management.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in information technology, Supply Chain Management, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or another related field

Travel Requirements: Travel 41-60% within the US


 

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $99,000 - $185,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
