Introduction
To support the Dresden subsidy team, we are looking for a Junior Financial Analyst in the area of public funded projects (subsidies department) to start as soon as possible.
As a Junior Financial Analyst in the subsidies department, you will be responsible for the administration, accounting and compliance of public funded projects. You will work closely with colleagues in technical project coordination as well as other departments.
Your Job
Ongoing monitoring of our public funded projects with regard to deviations from plan, compliance with the provisions in the funding decision and the legal framework conditions
Preparation of payment requests, financial reports and documentations
Collection, calculation and verification of data as a basis for payment requests
Preparation and execution of audits requested by the relevant funding agencies
Accounting calculations in connection with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Cooperation with funding agencies and external consultants
Drive process improvements and automation opportunities
Support global subsidies reporting and compliance oversight
Required Qualifications
Bachelorss or Master's degree in business administration or related field
Strong analytical skills
Good communication skills in German and English
Wide experience with MS-Office applications, especially Excel
Ability to work independently, with a high degree of responsibility
Address new questions quickly and efficiently and drive for solutions
Ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion and with high quality output
Effective interpersonal skills and ability for constructive teamwork across different teams and regions
