Salary: London from £46,400 – £60,000 per annum

The team/department
The Digital & Design team help the FCA to communicate in a clear, concise and constructive way. Our team is responsible for the FCA brand, designing collateral to support key messages, producing publications in a range of accessible formats, and creating engaging assets and campaigns for use across a variety of channels. We create digital content for the FCA website, looking at user journeys and best practice to drive continuously high standards across our site to help meet the FCA's operational objectives.
What you will be doing (the role)
You will be the FCA’s primary videographer and photographer for the creation of corporate marketing videos and photography, producing interviews, events, and promotional film content
Devising, creating and producing a range of videos for our digital channels, internal and external, leading on creative direction, to support the aims and communication objectives of the FCA
Working across the organisation on both short and long form video content to promote topical issues, tailored to a variety of channels and audiences
Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to understand each brief, managing pre-production, including scheduling, scriptwriting and creating storyboards to relay our messages clearly, concisely and constructively
Responsible for post-production, editing photography and footage into compelling stories, with attention to detail on music, voiceover and sound; to produce quality end products. Adding computer graphics, closed captioning and special effects to footage
Filming video in-house and on location. Travelling to events to capture high quality footage
Line managing two Graphic Designers who will be working as part of a larger team. Working closely with Lead Associate to make sure goals and expectations align
Project managing content development to ensure all projects are produced on time and working effectively with our brand and design team, ensuring all video and photographic content meets brand guidelines, quality standards and accessibility requirements
Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in video creation to keep our content fresh and innovative

The skills and experience you will have
Minimum

Significant experience of producing high quality, effective and engaging videography and photography
Sound editorial judgement with experience in developing concepts, planning, scripting and creating storyboards for video projects for use on corporate digital channels
Proven experience of working with colleagues and senior stakeholders confidently and constructively to get the best out of them
Essential
Experience in running video shoots, managing them on the day to capture the shots and footage needed, knowledge of law and filming in public
Experienced in setting up and taking down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment
Post-production skills including photo, video and audio editing and strong understanding of colour correction, retouching techniques, mixing tracks, looping music, using transitions
Excellent skills in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator. Other software will be considered if supported by a portfolio
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to problem-solve and think laterally when faced with editorial, logistical and administrative challenges
Experience of line managing or task managing individuals or suppliers
