The Opportunity
This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the PA Public Affairs division.
The Art Director of 3D Visualization + Motion is an animator, 3D visualization and post-production expert who brings visuals and narratives to life in an array of motion-based deliverables and develops our brand within the space. With strong proficiencies in 2D + 3D animation and video/audio editing software, this individual can move fluidly between tool sets to create ideas and concepts that successfully convey the creative message or meaning. This individual can also tackle complex technical challenges and develop looks, assets, and best practices for other motion designers and 3D artists to implement.
To accomplish this task, the Art Director of 3D Visualization + Motion functions organizationally within Creative Network (reporting to Creative Director or Associate Creative Director) while operating within project-based teams alongside Designers, Art Directors and Creative Directors. These teams will craft creative ideas into compelling, customer-centric stories that deliver on Abbott’s purpose and promise.
In addition to high-level execution, the Art Director of 3D Visualization + Motion is responsible for being an effective creative leader. They are an invaluable resource, able to contribute ideas and visuals that are creative, surprising and on-brand with minimal internal course-correction. They provide guidance and support to other members of the 3D motion team. They support project management with experience cost estimating and production pipeline management. They nimbly support projects from concepting and pitching to development and delivery. They are a strategic thinker, developing and executing creative solutions to meet the needs of Abbott’s marketing and brand teams.

The base pay for this position is
$83,000.00 – $166,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
