Reporting to the Workforce Development Supervisor of Training and Documentation Administration (TDA), you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of Micron’s expansion efforts in Idaho, supporting the Idaho US expansion (ID1) and, later, the NY expansion. As the ID1 WFD Program Manager & Training Administrator, you will provide site support for training and development programs, systems, compliance, and strategy. Your responsibilities will include support of training programs, courses, and initiatives. In this position you may also facilitate training, maintain training records, materials, and forms, teach workshops as needed, and serve as the team’s program manager.

Program Ownership

  • Detail key business processes, guidelines, and standards.
  • Ensure BKMs are identified and coordinated into programs where possible.
  • Establish internal process health metrics to monitor program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate program quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Identify program gaps or existing discrepancies and outline appropriate interventions to address them.
  • Implement feedback systems for continuous improvement.

Project Manager

  • Assure project alignment with organizational and program goals.
  • Build, publish, and refresh reports on an agreed-upon cadence by collaborators.
  • Develop the work breakdown structure to include achievements, deliverables, schedule, critical path, communication, and recovery plans.
  • Invoke recovery/critical issue plans as needed for at-risk projects.
  • Monitor project effectiveness and execution, lead changes, and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and present project closing report to partners.

Technology Transfer

  • Complete transfer training activities to approved plan for each transfer (may include travel to HVM to instruct courses and perform TTT)
  • Create the training plan for High Volume Manufacturing counterpart(s)

Project Team Member

  • Attend project meetings and complete assigned action items on time.
  • Contribute to closing report for partners.
  • Facilitate transition to sustaining mode when applicable.
  • Participate in crafting the project charter with problem statement, scope, objectives and success criteria.

Training Development

  • Communicate regularly with leaders from assigned areas to gather training needs and report on training initiatives.
  • Confirm WW fab/department direction and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with SMEs to develop and maintain training content.
  • Build onboarding plans that prioritize new team member training into a logical learning flow.
  • Build on-the-job training (OJT) programs, certifications, and resources to support team member training in assigned work tasks.
  • Maintain OJT resources to ensure content is accurate and effective – training plans, curricula, learning items, primary and supplemental resources, certification objectives, assessments.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of deployed training and use the metric for continuous improvement of future training deployments.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Extract and categorize data for analysis, visualization, and decision-making.
  • Outline data analysis strategy and document evaluation plan.
  • Develop graphs and charts for reporting.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience
  • Project Management certifications

Required Experience

  • 5 years in workforce development (preference for semiconductor domain), focusing on program and/or project management and training development.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience administering a learning management system.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • 5 years of experience with a high-volume manufacturing and production site.
