Position Summary

As the Senior Analyst, Rebate Financial Strategy and Alignment for CVS Health, you'll play a critical role in bridging financial strategy across Underwriting, Finance and Trade. You will be responsible for analyzing key financial assumptions, identifying key financial levers, and driving initiatives that enhance rebate-related profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of Senior Manager or Manager to monitor and manage the rebate financials to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Leverage underwritten vs. actual performance information to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities more globally within our rebate forecast and underwriting tools.
  • Work with FP&A partners to drive towards a “single source of truth” for rebate financial reporting.
  • Serve as the liaison between Underwriting, Finance, and Trade to align assumptions and methodologies and provide analytics to support alignment between these teams.
  • Facilitate regular calibration sessions to ensure consistency in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Identify and model financial levers to improve rebate performance and reduce liability.
  • Partner with analytics and forecasting teams to assess the impact of market events and formulary changes.
  • Report & communicate rebate financial executive-level reporting packages that inform strategic decisions to stakeholders.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management:  Proactively identify financial risks and mitigation strategies related to rebate guarantees.
  • Support the development of new rebate offerings and pricing strategies in collaboration with Trade and Sales.

**This is a remote role; candidates can live anywhere in the US.**

Required Qualifications

  • 2 + years professional experience in data analytics, finance, pricing or process improvement role or equivalent combination of professional experience and education  OR 
  • 1+ years professional experience in data analytics, finance, pricing, or process improvement role including 1+ year working with PBM data or PBM financial analysis.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel-based analysis and SQL
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skill sets are required. 
  • Ability to story tell the findings in clear, concise way when articulating the findings of the analysis to sales, underwriting and other stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience or knowledge of PBM industry or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Prior experience working across many different groups within an organization.
  • Prior experience designing, implementing, and optimizing new business processes.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to various business groups.
  • Ability to interact with others in a collegial and professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks.
  • Aptitude to communicate complex findings and conclusions in an easy-to-understand way.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, data science, economics or other data related fields preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
