Site Procurement Manager

As Site Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for driving and leading the performance management of all key initiatives and projects in the Local Procurement area, across multiple categories of spend and cross functionally across the wider GSK business, to ensure the delivery of key business objectives and benefits.

This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career, these responsibilities include the following:

Financial analytics:

  • Skilled with financial analytics, setting standard costs and the site financial plan. Able to operate under pressure and skilled collaboration with site and global finance and global commodity teams.

Business strategy

  • Develop and propose long and short-term plans to improve Procurement processes to enhance the overall performance of the Sites. Manage the interfaces between Procurement and the Site, balancing the expectations of both Procurement and Site stakeholders.
  • Ensure that Site requirements are considered within the definition and implementation of Global Category strategies and develop and implement Procurement strategies for local categories of spend that clearly meet business requirements

Procurement Management:

  • Lead the Procurement function across the Aranda site (Directs and Indirects), develop and manage the Sites supply base to meet GSK’s requirements: assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost, and innovation to control costs in a fast-moving environment.  Adapt and respond to regularly changing business requirements. 
  • For specific categories, actively negotiate contracts. Reduce the Directs, Manufacturing & Indirects costs across the Aranda site.  Support the reduction of end-to-end total costs of the Sites. Co-ordinate support from multiple Category teams and work within a matrix organisation.

Team:

  • You will manage one Procurement professionals across the manufacturing location and spanning two business units : Pharma, Oral Solid Dose(Tablets). You will be responsible to train, supervise, develop and the Site Procurement Specialist.  Lead and motivate him/her s towards the pursuit of operational excellence and attainment of best practices.  In addition, promote empowerment and process ownership.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably science or business based.
  • Operational Procurement / Supply Chain experience across multiple categories of spend (ideally with some experience of regulated environments).
  • Financial analytics background
  • Clear & proactive communicator.
  • Direct experience leading procurement for a specific supply category, or more generically across site level spend (Direct or Indirect).
  • Ability to drive & implement change and demonstrating accountability and tenacity for delivery.
  • Enterprise mindset – translating & mapping Procurement goals to business needs.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and ability to motivate and inspire colleagues, and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change.
  • Fluent English, spoken & written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills across internal GSK teams and external suppliers globally.
  • Ability to operate and influence across all business units and across multiple disciplines
  • CI Mindset – operational excellence trained
