Job Description: Leidos is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Enterprise Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in documenting and shaping our client's enterprise architecture ensuring alignment with the client’s vision and strategy of driving interoperability through cloud, AI, cybersecurity and data-related initiatives across the organization.  As an Enterprise Architect you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, manage risks, and ensure the efficient use of resources. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Enterprise Architecture: Develop an enterprise architecture that provides client stakeholders awareness of critical capabilities, dependencies, total cost of ownership, and mission critical impacts and risks.  This includes developing the: 
    • Enterprise Architecture Baseline – discover and capture the “as-is” state of the client’s IT enterprise as it exists across multiple organizations throughout the enterprise 
    • Enterprise Architecture Future State – work within and beyond the client’s IT Roadmap vision to capture the “to be” state of the client’s IT enterprise 
    • Enterprise Architecture Transition Plan – create the deliberate guidance and architecture artifacts to incrementally transition the client’s enterprise architecture from the as-is state to the future state 
  • Design and Planning: 
    • Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide architecture vision and strategy. 
    • Create roadmaps for technology adoption and system enhancements. 
    • Set standards for system design, security, and scalability. 
    • Collaborate with business leaders to align IT initiatives with organizational goals. 
  • Systems Integration: 
    • Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements. 
    • Integrate new technologies and applications into the existing IT landscape. 
    • Ensure seamless interoperability across different systems and platforms. 
  • Risk Management: 
    • Identify potential risks related to technology decisions. 
    • Mitigate risks by implementing best practices and security measures. 
    • Monitor system performance and address vulnerabilities promptly. 
  • Resource Optimization: 
    • Optimize resource allocation for IT projects. 
    • Ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and efficiency. 
    • Provide guidance on technology investments and procurement. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: 
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content providers, content consumers, developers, engineers, and business analysts. 
    • Communicate architectural decisions and recommendations to stakeholders. 
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • TS/SCI with CI Poly 
  • Typically requires BS degree (in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field) and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Systems Engineer/Architect or similar role 
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., UAF, TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF) 
  • Proficiency in system design, enterprise architecture, cloud, data, and security technologies, compute and storage optimization 
  • Excellent communication skills for technical writing, oral briefings and executive-level products  
  • Proficient in Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Model-Based Systems Engineering  
  • Passion for staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.  

Highly Desired Qualifications/Experience: 

  • Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC) 
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with Data Security and Compliance, Data Integrity, Data Tagging, Data Mesh, AI Integration, API brokers, and Qualitative Computing.    
  • Knowledge of and experience working with IC policies, directives, and standards 
  • Experience with data visualization tools/software (e.g., Tableau, MS PowerBI)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
