Primary Position Objective:

Under general direction, DEVELOPS and IMPLEMENTS pricing and product design strategies for GEICO products. RESPONSIBLE for the profit and growth of GEICO products. This includes IDENTIFYING, EXECUTING, and ITERATING strategic plans to position assigned area for long-term success.

Essential Functions:

INTERVIEWS and/or APPROVES job applicants for employment. CONDUCTS and/or REVIEWS associate performance appraisals. INITIATES or APPROVES salary adjustments, performance ratings, and other personnel changes. COUNSELS associates and TAKES disciplinary action or TERMINATES the employment of associates as appropriate.

TAKES full ownership of high-complexity business problems, plan items, product features or product lines.

RESPONSIBLE for the profit and growth of GEICO’s products, through both direct ownership spanning multiple states and/or dedicated product management functions and CONSULTS appropriate leaders and MAKES decision and TAKES appropriate underwriting and rate level action.

MANAGES product analysis in assigned products in pursuit of growth and profit goals. LEVERAGES market research, industry trends and thorough understanding of competitor strategies to drive analysis, product change and GEICO strategy.

BUILDS strong relationships with other business units and LEADS strategic direction for the long-term success of assigned areas.

MANAGES rate filings through approval. REVIEWS and APPROVES text for rate reviews, filings and internal communications describing results of analysis. MANAGES product review packages through completion. ADVOCATES the company position in negotiation with regulators and consultants and in legal and compliance matters.

SOLVES complex problems despite limited or imperfect data.

ANALYZES, SELECTS, and IMPLEMENTS new and complex pricing and product design strategies.

MANAGES relationships with external parties, including vendors, insurance organizations and regulators.

MENTORS and DEVELOPS future Product Managers.

ADHERES to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies and operating principles.

MEETS attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with subordinates and management.

Annual Salary

$133,000.00 - $207,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
