In this role, you'll make an impact by:

• Be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of quality systems, facilitating and maintaining food safety compliance and programs;

• Lead the Food/feed Safety team;

• Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal food safety regulations;

• Prepare for and manage internal and external audits and inspections;

• Maintain accurate records of food safety practices, inspections, training sessions, pesticide records, inventory, and compliance. Prepare reports as needed;

• Conduct training sessions on GMP and food safety practices;

• Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions;

• Investigate and address any food safety incidents or issues. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions;

• Fostering cooperation with different stakeholders (such as Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Facilities, among others) to ensure that knowledge is transferred and systems, standards (internal and external), procedures and controls are established;

• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in food safety. Propose and implement improvements to enhance food safety protocols.

Potentially relevant experience:

• Degree in Food Science, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or other related technical field;

• Advanced English language skills;

• Senior experience in quality and food safety certifications (such as: FSSC22000; FAMI-QS, among others);

• Senior experience in food and/or feed manufacturing;

• Experience in leading the food safety team.
