Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a Journeyman Network Drafting Specialist to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program.  The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.  

Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and drafting drawings associated with the project.
  • Provide the drawings, CAD, pictures and descriptions that document and depict: all associated cables, ducts, and splice cases for each maintenance hole; annotate the manufacturer name and date printed on the cable;
  • Annotate the National Electric Code (NEC)-provided cable name for each cable and provide a reference to North;
  • Provide installation list for all copper cables, Fiber Optic Cable (FOC), communication maintenance holes, and pedestals; provide with digital photos and the final record drawings. 
  • Provide drawings in the following formats providing a clear representation and following applicable industry and DOD guidelines: Electronic CAD Files; Full-Scale Non-Reproducible Copies; Reduced-Size Non-Reproducible Copies; Digital Photographic Records.
  • Coordinates for photography by: Obtaining authorization for taking pictures prior to start of work from the local security office;
  • Ensuring the designated contractor personnel, who will be authorized to take photos, have the authorized photography memorandum in their possession while taking the photos;
  • Taking digital pictures during the design phase site survey, before all work begins, during implementation, and after work is completed, when picture taking is not in violation of the local security policies;
  • Return to the Government, upon completion of this project, all photographs, drawings, and other representations (originals and copies) pertaining to this effort that have not been destroyed or provided to others as required by this document;
  • Not take photos of any kind (digital or non-digital) of security implements (e.g., security cameras, guards, police officers, barriers) as they are prohibited.
  • Any photos taken on the installation are subject to be reviewed by law enforcement personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience or a Masters and 3+ years of related experience.  A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Agile framework.
  • IAT II, OS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working within Army’s IT infrastructure.
  • DoD 8570 certifications.
  • Agile certified practitioner.
  • US Citizen with a Secret security clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
