Duties & Responsibilities

Type of Role: Individual contributor, entry level

Area of Responsibility and Purview: Support resource for the investment team in Private Wealth Management

Role Specific Job Duties:

  • Execute on tasks and transactions, as assigned
  • Support resource to other associates on team, providing leverage to execute on tasks and responsibilities
  • Proactively advise partners of issues that may affect clients/prospects in either a positive or negative way
  • Demonstrate a high level of teamwork with a focus on achieving business unit and team goals.  Be a positive influence in the group
  • Willingness to continue learning about financial markets and investments which may be unfamiliar

Function Specific Job Duties:

  • Process all operational aspects for private market investments made by UMB Private Wealth Management on behalf of our clients. This includes cash movements, valuation updates, processing documents, managing subscription/redemption processes, and other account maintenance activities
  • When assigned responsibilities, work collaboratively with senior associates and other functions to drive to resolution
  • Assist the investment team in their ongoing  support of internal partners in order to best serve our clients
  • Distribute standardized and custom daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policy, operational policy, and regulatory guidance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

MINIMUM:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or combination of education and experience that provides and equivalent background

PREFERRED:

  • Applicable experience within Financial Services

  • Investment strategy, portfolio management and research knowledge
  • Investment research skills, including understanding of alternative investment products
  • Willingness to pursue additional, advanced certifications and other training (CFA, CFP or another relevant license), as needed
  • Active in community and professional organizations

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in investment research and portfolio management software such as Morningstar Direct, Thompson Reuters, Factset or Bloomberg

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $51,480.00 - Maximum: $119,200.00
